An airport is a highly sensitive operation which cannot be disrupted. On average day, more than 30,000 passengers check in at our airport and they must be continuously informed. Arrival and departure times, flight, gate, luggage numbers and much more information are displayed 24 hours a day. For displays, it is a heavy load, so their lifetime shorten rapidly. That is the reason why the management of the airport have decided to renew the complete digital information system displays in order to avoid the risks of outages or poor readability of the content.
Replacing all the displays in a 24-hour operation has, of course, its specific features and it requires a particular approach. All the work was done at night, when there is always less passengers at the airport.
Digital information systems display mostly static pictures which develop so-called "screen burn-in". After the image is changed, the previous image is still partially displayed which degrades the readability of the displayed content. The longer the display is used, the worse the readability becomes and it is more noticeable and more permanent.
Information system consists of large-format professinal displays designed for business use in demanding 24/7 mode. We have installed 372 pcs of Samsung LH40DMEPLGC and 77 pcs of Samsung LH49PMHPBGC with a diagonal of 40 and 49 inches.
