New AV Equipment of CHMI Workplace

We installed AV technology in the premises of the new building of the CHMI central forecasting office. Part of the modernization was the equipment of the conference hall, forecast hall, recording room, server room and hydrology workplace.

In the conference hall, we installed AV technology for two modes of operation, so that it is possible to use the hall as one large unit, or to divide it by a mobile acoustic partition into two separate rooms. Therefore, the imaging technology is divided into two sets, one screen and a projector. In the same way, the sound technology, thanks to the division into zones, enables separate sounding of individual rooms.

In the main forecast hall, we installed two LCD walls to display visualizations of meteorological data and a videoconferencing unit, especially for connections with CHMI branches and workplaces of the integrated rescue system such as the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic.

We equipped the recording room with a PTZ camera and a 75″ LCD. It serves as a small television studio for recording or online presentation.

We equipped other areas of the workplace with LCD displays and, above all, with an infrastructure for remote and local image data sharing. The infrastructure now enables all  CHMI workplaces to have both internal communication within all CHMI branches and connections to partner networks of critical infrastructure, as well as sharing to the public Internet network.
