Dimension Data GDC Offices


After a successfull operation of the first Global Delivery Center in Bangalore, India, Dimension Data opened another center in Prague. Modern offices designed for an easy collabaration are located in Enterprise Office Center building in Pankrác, Prague.

Communication and collaboration at international level require flawless and intuitive AV technologies. According to our design and project, we have installed them into all the spaces. Meeting and training rooms, open-space offices, main social and relaxation zone and other areas are now equipped with AV equipment that creates an inspiring work environment.

Effective collaboration from anywhere thanks to videoconferencing

The working environment is changing and the appearance of offices along with it. A lot of employees work from home, communication with other branches is also becoming more and more important. Therefore, the GDC is equipped with a large number of meeting rooms of different sizes.

  • We have installed compact all-in-one videoconferencing Cisco sets with an easy control and timeless design.
  • Room bookings can be done via LCD touch display connected to the  internal planning system, therefore the organizations of meetings have become much easier.
  • Into the tables and the floor, we have installed connection points for signal distrubition of AV equipment and charging.
  • For a comfortable charging, we built 230V outlets into all sofas.

Meeting and relaxation zone

Today’s modern offices cannot do without spaces for various meetings and rooms designated for relaxation and fun. For these purposes, GDC has a large meeting and relaxation zone. The space is equipped with sofas, kitchen, table football, billiard and game consoles.

On the column in the middle of the room, there is our special triangular installation made of three large-format LCD displays and speakers. We have designed its layout in order to provide united coverage of the zone with image and sound. Both formal and informal events can be hold.

Information and navigation system

It is important not only to attract incoming visitors, but also help them navigate in the office areas. That’s why we have installed an information and navigation system within open-space offices and other common areas.

  • In the entrance areas, there is an information kiosk with an interactive LCD touch screen designed for guidance of incoming people.
  • Company's information system consists at total of 20 large-format displays.
  • A flexible remote control of the screen content is managed by HUGPORT system.

Technical specification

Meeting and relaxation zone

The main element of the relaxation zone is the installation of three 85“ Samsung QM85 LCD displays. They are attached to a special and very atyppical construction on a column, therefore the image is visible from all the sides. JBL Control HST speakers provide wide sound coverage of the space.

The room is equipped with a network media player supporting 4K resolution and Yamaha WXC-50 pre-amplifier for an easy and wireless music streaming. AV signal distribution is managed by a distributional HDMI Extron DA4 HD4K amplifier and a two-channel Extron XPA 1002 amplifier.

Welcome zone and open-space offices

Within the office spaces, there is an information and navigation system installed consisting of 20 professional Samsung DB55E displays. Two of them are located in the welcome area with a coffee machine, the others are located along the open-space offices. Flexible content distribution across display network is managed by HUGPORT system.

Meeting rooms

Meeting rooms are equipped with videoconferencing Cisco systems. Depending on the size of the room, either MX800 (two 70″ displays, two cameras), MX700 (two 55″ displays, two cameras) or MX 300 (one 55″ diplay with a camera) systems are installed. Systems include speakers, microphones and touch screen control panels.

Extron Cable Cubby 1400 connection points for power supply and AV signal distribution were placed into the tables. A set of reductions and connectors for the connection with different types of devices is included. Other connection points are installed into the floor.

Training rooms

Training rooms are equipped with Cisco MX800 video conferencing systems (two 70″ displays, two cameras). Systems include speakers, microphones and touchscreen control panels.

Sound is provided by compact Yamaha WX-030 wireless speakers supporting streaming via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Extron Cable Cubby 1400 connection points for power supply and AV signal distribution were placed into the tables. A set of reductions and connectors for the connection with different types of devices is included. Other connection points are installed into the floor.

Collaborations rooms

In the rooms designed for one or two people, there are videoconferencing Cisco MX200 systems installed with 42″ displays.
